Topilo does not have the fame and tradition of famous Serbian spas, but it offers respectable options: healing, better health, recovery, relaxation, refreshment and nice picnics.
Banja Topilo is situated 25 km from Niš in the picturesque valley of the Toponička River. You can reach this spa over the asphalt road that leads to Gornja Toponica and Vele Polje. After the turn in the direction of Kravlje, there leads the macadam road of some 1000m that goes down to the settlement with 200 houses. About 800 beds are available in the houses to those who are there for medical services or other purposes.
Some 2,000 people usually stay here during the season, using the thermo-mineral water as their therapy. This water, as officially established, has healing components which are good for the medical treatment of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, degenerative and extra-articular rheumatism, trauma and war injury and nervous system functional diseases, but also the disorders of digestive organs, kidneys, and urinary pathways. Banja Topilo is famous for a number of thermal springs with waters differing in their curable and chemical properties. |
